Shall I start some speculation? An article from the AFR (link for members or take a free AFR trial) from 30 April on M&A opportunities, says that KAR is a takoever candidate from Conoco Philips:

If CP decided to take over KAR now, and use its own money for a capital injection, it could provide some sort of relief to investors- better than a $200m raising at a 20% discount?
