I'm thinking the shorter is getting itchy. See the low volume traded. Really no sellers to speak of.
RISC upgrade and Gambia farmout must be getting close, leaving little time for the shorter to buy back. See the stacks of "fake" sells just outside the trade range. ( also some 4mil placed at 8c.) to create false impression... but it's not working ( refer to low volume). Think the shorter wants to close out but there are no real sellers. I think a lot may have closed out yesterday.
Would like to get some views from traders who are familiar with the art of shorting stocks so we could get idea of how they approach a situation where imminent news could have a significant effect on SP to the upside.
