GGG is in the same boat as every other mining company, suffering from a kind of Stockholm Syndrome where debate is engaged in only from an environmentalists point of view.
What is desperately needed is much more aggressive and co ordinated approach. I know it won’t happen, but I’d love to see the worlds mining companies forming a cartel that says to the world, “ You don’t like mining? Fine. We’ll stop mining.” And watch the world grind to a halt and watch the greenies scream about everything they won’t have without mining. How will they complain about everything on Twitface without their smartphones? (Are all the Hotcopper greenies who treat Greta like a saint and want to ‘save the planet’ aware that without mining they would have no ability to be on Hotcopper?). Of course, mining to benefit them is okay but no one else.

Force them to choose. Take no prisoners.
