$5.86 is actually high, psychologically at least. My holding cost was less than 80c for 10,000 shares prior to all that buying in 2022. It was mostly from this cornerstone parcel. Post #:39066673 I may take some profits when we get closer to $20 just to bring that average down a bit. Either that or fix my mindset to be content with $5.86.

I still miss SAR. Then again where would my GMD holding be if that was the case. Now the third largest goldie holding in the portfolio. It is what it is. I miss Normandy, Lihir gold, Sino Gold etc etc... part and parcel of investing in this very esoteric (gold mining) part of the ASX.

Not many guarantees in investing. But one you can always count on is the use of smoke and mirrors to make you feel that what you have is not worth as much as you think. I've seen it in all kinds of markets from the Sydney Fish Markets to LME both of which I worked in first hand. The easiest way to separate one from his assets is to use emotions. People (yes, including me) get way too emotional looking at the short term price action. If you can recognise that, someone out here somewhere is trying to paly you, then you are already half way there...
