Why?
Genuine question, but what does it matter if support doesn't hold & it drops below, or even into mid 30s?
If the resource is there, then it's there. Long term holders shouldn't be worried about trading patterns in the interim.
The only reason, in my eyes, that it's better for the SP to hold, is incase the results turn out to be a flop, then I might be able to escape and still secure a decent profit before it falls below my average.
Is there something I'm missing as to why it's better for it to hold? Can't be for CR purposes as we don't need one at this stage. Is it because if it holds and good news comes out then the SP would raise to heights it wouldn't reach if it didn't hold & the same news eventuated?
But the latter doesn't make a lot of sense to me, as company valuation doesn't depend on the SP, it depends on CF valuation techniques.
Is it just a psychological / confidence thing for us S/Hs?
Hoping somebody with more knowledge than I can quell my curiosity.
