I've found another great article on biofuels, am starting to get quite excited about this after being very sceptical. I think it will go through an initial boom bust, with the bust currently happening, but then the sustained boom will get underway with non-grain feedstocks. see below. Very interested to know how much fertilizers these feedstocks will use, I imagine much less than grains but still significant?
