To be fair..it is somewhat self inflicted. If u read the SMSL page and comments on any news article on Lynas, the Malaysian (mostly chinese) people are crying out for Lynas to be shut down.
There are a large number of people who don't know the facts but feel entitled to weigh in on the issue.
But this might be the point where the economically disadvantaged Malays can recover some ground. They are coming to the party in support of jobs, growth and prosperity.
