the fact that this is not applera is even better. it shows to the market that there are potentially many contracts to come and at significant dollars. if this announcement had been with applera everyone would have been saying 'yeah yeah, one off stuff - show me some more'. The market now has a taste for what's on offer.
I'm certain also that many large companies were waiting for the results of the legal proceedings with applera before signing up with GTG. Now that these proceedings have come out in favour of GTG they'll begin to negotiate.
GTG also has to find some way of making dollars out of the intellectual property deals that they have been negotiating in order to move to the next stage. Sure license deals and agreements are nice but most of the GTG patents expire in 2015 so they will need to take advantage of these 'other deals and intellectual property deals'.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say that GTG will be close to a dollar very soon.
