The ratio I was referring to is the number of shorts being opened as opposed to the number of longs being opened. (Not the total holding.) The market makers are into this sort of analysis. Pretty hard for us to get a handle on it.
Atm I'm unsure whether to go short or long. There is a heap of data coming from Europe/UK. See here...

I'd say UK/Europe are in for a fall mainly due to overshooting the US last night. Not sure on the US? But its difficult to imagine another rally happening there.
