They are considered sophisticated because they are!  Excluding myself of course, most shorters have got brains and are much more sophisticated than the average long, most of the longs are just like sheep or lemmings imo, they rely on everyone else analsys rather than doing their own.  Being short can hurt, it hasn't hurt much here though, they can wait indefinitely depending on the market SP as they get paid interest rather than long's paying interest.  The only stress for shorts is the SP and how high it can go, i doubt the shorters will get stressed out here too much though and the SP remains under 35$ and i don't think there is much chance of a takeover here with the books the way they are so i would expect the shorters to hang around until the books run out of road (so to speak).  All imo.
