I'm spoiled as far as tomatoes go (excuse me if you say tomaytoe). Most of the year I can get them from a farm and they taste like they should, though I'd still prefer to be able to get a Rouge de Marmande. But well it's August and even the greenhouses are struggling, so it had ro be the supermarket. They had some nice ripe looking Romas so I took the plunge. That's when I realised the breeder's ultimate goal had been achieved, ie to breed a tomato that you could stand a brick on without squashing it. These you could drive a car over and not hurt them.
