Interesting to see there is a job ad for an operations manager for the NT on the JDA web page. How many operations do you know in the NT that have Ni/Co precipitation. Sounds like Browns to me.
"Our client, a junior miner listed on the ASX, requires the services of a process engineer to fill the role of Operations Manager at their base metal project in the Northern Territory.
The successful candidate will have:
• Tertiary qualifications in a process engineering discipline
• A minimum of 15 years experience in the mineral processing industry
• Significant experience in comminution, tank leaching & SXEW operations.
• The potential to move into a GM role within the next 5 years.
• Experience in cobalt/nickel precipitation will be an advantage.
The Operations Manager will be part of a small team working on the rehabilitation of this complex mine and processing plant and bringing it into production in 2010.
Responsibilities will include:
• Plant operation & process optimisation
• Plant maintenance.
• Plant services.
• Analytical Lab
The incumbent will also be expected to act as General Manager as required. This is a permanent residential role based in Darwin or on site. "
