So your theory is that hedge funds borrowed stock off opes prime punters which they had no intention of returning for the specific purpose to send opes into administration so that ANZ then sold the remaining shares back to the hedge funds at depressed prices...?? They also managed to send a few big margin players to the wall...
That is a very twisted scenario but one that I am sure hedge funds could dream up...
