You gotta love this from the ANZ announcement on Friday titled - ANZ releases Securities Lending Review

"Mr Smith added: “ANZ’s shareholders, customers and the wider community have a right to expect the Bank to conduct its business with the highest standards of business practice."

umm... what does this statement mean? Could they use plain english and stop with the spin! The use of the word Business is rather ambiguous.

Highest standards of business practice - Does this mean profit is ANZ's primary focus? Profit at any cost. On my first reading of the statement i thought it was a reference to some type of ethical standard or practise, or in relation to some standard of corporate responsibility. I more thought i put into this the less likely it seems.
