The second highest Court in our country has just set a precentent that transfers power away from itself to the banks, and they did it in a big hurry.

I sincerely hope that the substance of what Fowler\Sweeney were trying to say about extinguising claims against the banks was properly tested and that the day didn't consist of the 10 barristers including 5 silks marking down his hastily prepared homework.

This is what gets people so fed up about lawyers and the court system. There is no hint of any fairness or justice anymore. It is simply who has the most money wins.

It's like a game of Texas Holdem where you have an infinte supply of chips playing against someone with, say $100K worth. You don't even have to be any good. You will win.
