I have never approved of the way banks, lawyers and liquidators behaved but it this not really about me.

There were moments where I was cheering the underdog with balls, that's all. Fowler had a crack and many cheered him, even if he was against our personal interests. I said in a previous post, lucky for him it only took a week and only cost him $100K odd.

It's a pity for him that the hero of the people, Sweeney QC, didn't do a better job.

If he did succeed in having the sheme over turned and force ANZ to come running forth with more millions that would have been great. However, having them turn up with 10 barristers including 5 silks in any subsequent litigation would have been expensive and slow and probably resulted in 0c.

So, on balance it is probably worthwhile after all that the settlment gets back on track and we can all go home.

It's still not right, though. Maybe we will get some glee out of watching them squirm over Chimeara.
