My portfolio is 30% higher than when the accounts froze.
The twisted part here is that the higher everyone shares go the more money ANZ have to fight the legal battles since they can keep the excess after their debt is paid for legal costs!
Although it looks like ANZ are not smart enough to manage a share portfolio. Look at the sale of John Terpu's shares in Conquest to Gold Fields which was apparently booked on the 30th April at 35c per share. Before Opes the share price was low 60s and today the share price is around 60c.
Gold Fields already had 10% stake in the company and this purchase takes them close to 20% and removes a key blocking stake for a takeover. Gold Fields would have paid twice was they paid to achieve this...they are must be laughing at their good luck. ANZ have to be the worst shares traders in history not to see that Gold Fields were a motivated buyer.
Disgraceful.
