If you recheck the New release you will find a little asterisk at the bottom of the table showing what shares ANZ has an interest in:
*This may include shares which have been sold by the ANZ Group pursuant to transactions which have not settled as at end of trading on 7 April 2008

Transaction generally take several days, typically three working days, to settle. Thus Friday trading may well be included. I'm buying.
