ANZ's problem would appear to be, it has lost $150m on Murphy and hasn't lost much on anyone else. It is trying to make the solvent Opes clients pay for Murphy's irrecoverable loss.
But I would be very surprised if they don't get away with it. Particularly in Victoria.
