bassmann sorry to read your plight...no malice intended by the way. No that was me generalising and my apologies for any angst it may have caused you or others.
I would have to read the entire FSG to make comment but I would be surprised if that were the case. I would be surprised if you saw any of your shares or exposed/frozen funds though.
You would have to read your service agreement with them and see what security/guarantee you have agreed to. If in any doubt at all I would very quickly get some good legal/financial advice.
This is really a sorry mess. The ANZ have disappointed, the lack of semblance of any moral fibre in the name of (more) profit has really shown through with banks of late. The indiscriminate panic dumping was ridiculous and unnecessary IMO.
