Remote hinted that ANZ were willing to cough up their full provision of $350m but ML would not come to the party with the balance ($230m?).
I am sceptical as I recall ML had a surplus of $70m and I reckon $420m (72c) would have got most clients approval. Now they'll be pursued for at least 160c (to account for the lawyers take). Commercial suicide from the banks.
