Bottom line and the absolute law under an AMSLA is that the lender who has no title, has absolutely NO VOTING RIGHTS. This is global practice and stressed as a significant requirement under the practice of share lending and borrowing. Great move ANZ, you have just admitted you did not really own the shares as beneficial owner as you overlooked one of the most important points of share lending.
