Is it a possibility that ANZ have most likely done this so that they can come in and pick up Opes's entire margin lending business for next to nothing.
ANZ won't want to sell holders out of the market because they will want to retain the margin lending business and brokerage business.
If this comes off for them, they basically pick up a huge margin lending and brokerage book for nothing. No goodwill.
