Just a conspiracy theory.
Suppose Sunbird is really a successful well; and BG really wants to have a bigger slice in the area. A good way to keep competitions uninterested for the time being would be to down grade the area without actually saying it. BG knows a lot of eyes are on Sunbird ATM, what better way to buy a bit of time and have a commercial advantage.
The result will have to be announced ultimately, by BG of course, but who were those irresponsible people who started those rumour?
