Sounds like Bernie needs to get booted for a start if that's his attitude.
We're due a recession to be sure as we've not had one since the early 90s.
All I can say is I hope in the interim for whatever reason the shorting positions have to be covered and I'm sure there's other stocks that could get bumped from the asx 100 before myr. As for Medibank private all I can say is people will go without private cover if they lose their jobs but they'll still go out and spend a few bucks on retail. Compare the PE of Myer and Medibank and these guy s are on a much lower PE with a better yield at the moment.
If you go short all I can say I hope you have tight stops and your platform doesn't have much slippage.
