Opinions on SMSF online platforms?

I currently have a 350k managed pension fund that I am frustrated with, because of low and last year negative returns, with management fees between 5 and 6k a year. What are your considered opinions on switching to a SMSF through the likes of Esuper, Austsuper, etc, Fees and conditions I see vary a tad but not greatly. I am familiar with trading stocks, eft's etc and probably more importantly have great interest and time to do so. I am reasonably confident with a computor and if I'm stuck I ask my Grandaughter (lol). Now that I am retired mostly looking for income ie ff divs and franking credits. Outside of super I have an income of 18k yr so use up my tax threshold. Your thoughts and experiences on any of the platforms available would be greatly appreciated.
    Have a great day
