My tenant wants to get a puppy Jack russell for his young family (a mate is moving interstate and has to get rid of one.) The house is a 3 bdr townhouse on a 350m block (melbourne SE suburbs). The tenant advises me it will be an outside dog. He is willing to pay an animal bond, and he says if it doesnt work out the puppy will go to his parents place. - All good in theory

I know jack russells are very lively and require a lot of attention, however he said it will be walked daily, and there is always someone home with it (partner only works 1 day a week) and there is huge park and wetlands nearby

He is a good tenant, and pays rent on time, however he originally said he wanted an adult outside dog, no he is telling me its a puppy.. Now he is telling me he is already looking after the puppy for his mate, while he is interstate temporily.

I feel if I say yes to this and it doesnt work out, how can I force him to get rid of his dog. Seperate note, I dont feel you can give kids a dog and take it away from them 3 months later if it doesnt work out.

Opinions please. Most people are saying no to the idea, I'm half inclined to give him a chance, but I know im too soft at heart

    Scotty
