I came cross this stock by mistake, however I noticed the low market cap, so had to have a look at the potential... then obviously the recent rapid incline in SP... there was a clear FOMO trading in place I thought at first... have recently done some research and must admit this one is a little exciting, going under the Radar that is for sure... seems heavily undervalued... have taken a holding today... if further pull backs occur I will 100% be accumulating as it would seem the current financial year for OPL is about to have a serious re-rate...
I am a big fan of Technical analysis, if it is backed my fundamental analysis then I see a opportunity to make serious gains... of late have picked numerous winners using strict strategies, this one has great potential.. I am very bullish on this stock at present... and here is why:
Opyl has reduced its staff and pulled back on there over heads, they have also completely refreshed the board. With this in mind it proves they are cash burn aware and have refocused for revenue growth.
The share register is extremely tight after a share consolidation, the top 20 holders control 40 per cent of the company’s 37 million shares on issue. Perfect confidence right there..
the low current market cap of near $6million won’t take much to get this stock moving once they start signing new contracts and turning what is clearly a very lucrative operation into a revenue generation and profits.
I also came across some nice write ups today and I quote from one:
Opyl today is targeting clinical trials.
It has a proof-of-concept clinical trial predictor tool that calculates the likelihood of a clinical trial to complete each phase and successfully reach its endpoints.
The tool uses an emerging area of AI known as ‘explainable AI’, to determine the optimal trial design and how the individual variables in the protocol can be adjusted to improve the overall confidence score.
So far, the predictor tool has ingested over 500,000 past and current clinical trials across a wide range of disease areas.
It is also building out a clinical trial recruitment enterprise platform and expanding its recruitment consulting service that leverages social media to find patients.
And it has a partnership with UK sales and medical communication company huumun, through which gives Opyl accelerated access for deal flow to huumun’s global pharma and medtech clients, some of which are the biggest global pharmaceutical companies in the world.
“The biggest problem in randomized controlled clinical trials is that patient recruitment is too slow and fails to meet the minimum requirement or the time-frame, blowing out budgets and putting trails at risk of failure,” Gallaher said.
“Our expertise is in using social media to recruit efficiently, on time and in budget. As many as 85 per cent of clinical trials fail to recruit and retain enough patients in order to meet their enrollment timeline.
“Only about 3 per cent of cancer patients are even aware that they may be eligible to access new therapies offered in clinical trials. We have been successfully recruiting to clinical trials using social media for about three years now.
“The second major issue with clinical trials is poorly designed studies. We really understand the two big problems in clinical trials. That is our strength. We’re playing the niche.”
One criticism of the company is that it’s ‘just a consulting firm’.
Gallaher says this is one part of the business, one that brings revenue and the right kind of clients to their door, but it’s not where the real value lies for Opyl.
“Our real strength today is in converting those consulting clients into enterprise clients using the platforms we’re developing,” she said.
“Our services arm provides us with critical market intelligence and direct access into our target market when our platforms go live. It’s almost like we are being paid to do market research and business development.
“What we have now is a business with a clear mission to create a scalable enterprise solution that will solve the biggest challenges in clinical trial recruitment, retention and study design.”
I for one love TA first and foremost, the current daily 12 month chart is looking strong and reflects the changes in the company, the market is awaking to this sleeper with increased volumes and positive oscillators showing signs of clear strength and trigger strong buy signals...
Here is a chart and some analysis for those interested...:
![]()
Strong Bullish Trend
OPL appears to be in a strong bullish trend. Its 200-day moving average is upwards sloping and the MACD histogram is above 0 and rising. Comparative Relative Strength analysis shows that the stock is lagging both the S&P/ASX 200 and the Information Technology sector average, hence ha gone under the radar IMO
Bullish Momentum
Momentum for OPL, as measured by a 14-period Slow Stochastic Oscillator, is slightly waning. This means that investors are less aggressive in their recent purchases and may even be taking profits in positions bought at lower prices. However in saying that dont be fooled, due to the tight register its hard obtain large amounts of shares... of coarse there will be profit taking due to recent lows, but current interest should see such low's behind us...
Above Average Volume
Recent volume is on track to be heavier than usual. The On Balance Volume indicator (OBV) is bullish. The slope of the indicator is positive and suggests that buyers are presently more active than sellers.
Bollinger Bands Signal Volatility Squeeze
Volatility, measured using the width of the Bollinger Bands , is extremely low, resulting in a condition called the Bollinger Band Squeeze. Bollinger Band Squeezes tend to precede major price breakouts, although they do not predict which direction the new trend will take. Trend and momentum indicators can be useful during Squeeze conditions to help discern the direction of future trends.
The pull back today on low volumes is to be expected, perfect time for entry at these levels IMO..Stay strong holders... I think this one is in for a pleasant surprise, strong buy IMO...Best wishes to all
