Well well here is a small nugget for you fans of Benitec. On a specialist OPMD website a sufferer of the condition reveals she has recently interacted with the company to join its OPMD trial and has been advised the trial will commence in the second half of OPMD.
February 4, 2019 at 5:36 AM “As a sufferer of OPMD I am keen to be involved in Benitec’s patient study for this condition and have asked to be considered. They have confirmed that I am now on their database. I have recently had a correction procedure for my ptosis that was very successful. However I do also have swallowing difficulties and weakness of certain muscles making walking any distance problematical. Hopefully the patient study will take place during the latter half of this year (2019).”
