No its not the same mate.
Sure, if RDN went to $1 then the difference is minimal.
But if you bought 5 mil options at say .01 then you could have held a $50,000 tax loss for years.
And if you then bought heads at .015 and sold them at .04 (for example) you have a tax loss to offset it.
