I'm with Sep on this one, the heads IMO offer better value.
Often oppies are a good indicator of where the sp is heading and in this respect all looks good. Champ made the call even before the oppies turned! Good spot mate.
Let's say the sp is 65c in 12 months, at oppie expiry. Pretty reasonable figure and not in dream land. The current heads are say 35c, oppies at 15c.
Example @ 65c @ oppie expiry. Heads 65-35, 30c profit, about 85% profit.
Oppies 15c+50c strike, 0c profit, 0% return.
If you say buy 10k of oppies all you would end up doing is writing a cheque for about 34k to exercise, with no return and leveraged risk.
Each to their own and if you see the sp much higher, than oppies come into their own, just.
