Options work in two ways: 1) you buy and sell them through your broker just like shares and the market dictates the value of the options based on the underlaying share value (being MLS here) and what the exercise price is (being 5c in this case). so the true value of the option (MLSOA) when MLS is at 10c is at least 5c (should be a little more given that a premium should be built in the price)
2) In holding an option you have a right to buy 1 MLS share for 5c until the option expires in 2009. Anytime until they expire you can exercise your options by providing MLS with 5c for every one of your options you wish to exercise. If you let them expire they are worthless.
