What I learnt recently too Nathan (good post by the way) is that sometimes the underwriter can pull out or change their mind in whether to subscribe fully. WCU is a prime example of this only recently.
Personally unless a short term trade eg day trade can be taken with the options I feel they end up being a nightmare for most.
