On pg 9, I think one of the earliest application that could gain traction soon is
INVESTMENT DEFERRAL for
- Energy shifting and capacity investment deferral
- Transmission and distribution congestion relief
both are a major pain point for Electricity Transmission Companies.
I find "Virtual Transmission" as in the comments above that help reduce spend on Transmission infrastructure while also helping stabilise Variable Renewable Energy and reduce curtailments which will only occur if there is no where to divert that energy.
