Cold weather is definitely a scenario of poor battery performance for an EV (not sure if/when they'll put reverse cycle AC in EVs), but I'm not sure how this relates to RFX and the market for flow batteries. It's clear that flow batteries are not at all appropriate for moving vehicles. Voltan, can you elaborate on where your lithium/EV thoughts link to us here?
I'd see that we could have an application to smooth grid demand and backup at charging sites, and definitely for time-shifting home charging from solar overnight. Although the benefits of lithium for high speed charging stations possibly beats us for peak power ratings.
