what a shit show is happening over at MIN. CE is old school, built a massive company from scratch over 20 years with, it appears, more focus on his own balance sheet than that of the Company or it's other shareholders. The board concedes, at times, he has not acted with integrity and this is crucial. Related party transactions, conflicts and lack of integrity can't be tolerated today and I don't see him lasting the next few weeks into the AGM let alone 12-18mths succession planning. So what opportunities for DVP? Bill touts our model as a mini MIN with UG mining services. Brokers and media are speculating a T/O or break-up of the MIN business units and there are obvious synergies from a combination of MIN-DVP assets. Bill would surely be a prime candidate for the CEO role (via a T/O?) if he wanted it, or would he rather look to pick off the mining services division. It will be interesting to see this drama unfold, and my sense is that the pace might pick up if CE loses the support of major insto's prior to AGM. Interesting times..
