there is a popular view among some of the weather / meteorology / geography gurus that global warming will cause melting of the arctic ice caps and glaciers in the northern hemisphere .ooooh

unfortunately exponentially increasing the rate of warming as there is less reflection of the suns rays offf the white snow but cooling the oceans that drift around europe and canda and north america

the cooler currents cause massive snow falls and blizzards on an unprecedented scale.All of the continental bits of the northern hemisphere will be under layers of snow and possible ice age has begun.
sea levels actually recede as more water is trapped as snow and permafrost on the continents.

This causes a big dent in the global warming scenarios dreamed up by dooms dayers.Australia on the other hand is predicted to be largely desert.pretty much as it is now but dryer on the fringes.
