Thats a good point about AISC going up. I think the cost spike is right across all industries. My info suggests your 2.5pc is on par. Clearly this is our long awaited inflation coming. We should see 1 percent plus per quarter generating refreshed interest in gold. Which should put strong upward pressure on gold price. After an initial dip as reserve banks raise interest rates in response, which has already been (at least partially) factored in.... the recent dip beneath 1750usd on reserve bank comments. On that note, when interest rates rise, stocks, especially non yielding techs, will subdue or crash. Investors searching for safety in gold and/or and yield will find... RRL. It will require some positive bad news for this stock to not break out of the current doldrums in the coming months.
