A company I held previously would only do one announcement per month. So depending on when you converted your options you could be waiting a long time to get the shares. I don't know if the rules have changed since then and I haven't really looked into it. I will be waiting to late this year to convert my options, as I will need to fund it through selling some shares (the less the better), and I am expecting a higher SP later in the year.
