Once registered in your name/entity (T+2, 2 business days after you bought onmarket), you need to call Link Share Registry (ID yourself of course) and request BPay details in order to pay the 34c per option. Once paid/received/confirmed by ARU Company Secretary, they will issue you the new shares (on same HIN/CHESS that ARUO were on) and should show up as ARU on Link Share Registry within 1 week. Why one week? The staff at ARU have better things to do than run through this daily.....they pick one day a week as the cut-off day, see how many options have been exercised and allocate accordingly, notifying Link same day who will process overnight (usually).
Note: in all likelihood the ARUO will stop trading on the ASX a few days before expiration on Thurs 29/02/2024 (probably Friday 24th will be last day to sell) as new buyers will be registered by the Tuesday night, they'll need Wed to get their BPay details from Link, then pay asap in order to beat expiration date (needs to be in ARUs bank account by EOD 29/02/2024 ie show up in their bank acc on Friday morning)
Exercise price 34c. They were issued in the August 2022 Placement to Sophisticated & Wholesale Investors on a one for 2 basis (one free option for every 2 ARU shares they subscribed for at 26c in the Placement.... so there were approx. 78mil ARUO issued)
78mil X 0.34 = $26.5mil in the kitty on top of the $41 mil from that Aug Placement plus $141 mil from Dec/Jan Placement & SPP.
So basically there are nearly 2.2bil Shares On Issue (SOI)
