What about selling the total amount of your holding in stages, buying double the amount via CFD at 50% margin, receiving double the amount of option allocation then buying back your original amount of stock and closing the CFD position in stages. IG confirmed that you can still participate in the option release in you hold CFD's. You would basically be getting the original amount of options for free if you sold half.
