options trading, page-20

hey guys, i'm also starting out in options, have had a few good trades had some shocking ones to, the downside with options is there are no stop losses with etrade, so you have to keep an eye on the market or setup alerts to your phone :)


It would be nice to have a option forum for the traders it can only benefit us, if you are after short term trading then exercising options is not really what you want to be doing. as the price of the share moves up the option will move aswell (share price gain * delta of option) so like JROLFE said you can just sell the option back before expiry(just like a share to either the market maker or another buyer)
