It might be another couple of weeks before I am back full time - MOTH has decided I need a break - but in the meantime just a quick suggestion.

We have a broking account with Westpac and some time ago they sent us a small booklet entitled "Options Strategies -26 proven options strategies". It gives a short description of each strategy under the headings 'Market Outlook, Profit, Loss, Volatility and Time Decay'. Examples of strategies covered are 'buy and write, covered calls', 'protective put plus stock', 'bull and bear spreads' and so on.

It seems a pretty good place to start for anyone wanting to know the basics. I don't know if you have to have a broking account to get the booklet.

    cheers
