Of course not. I have always maintained that Xstrata are not even an investor, let alone a cornerstone investor...an investor assumes risk!
They gave up some land for shares. If it works out, they make money...if it doesn't, they lose nothing.
They are smart operators....If something huge was drilled, I guess they would consider a takeover...or if AVB was on the ropes
