Very pleased to see the appointment of Luis Azevedo as Non-Executive Director at this stage of the companies development. He will be first appointment in assembling the key members of a team to develop AN into a mine.
The board have had the opportunity to assess the suitability of Luis as he has held the position of Executive Director for Avenue Resources which of course is another company closely related to Avanco with TP as chairman. Luis was appointed to the board of Avenue Resources on 15th March 2012 so he is not unknown to Tony or the board.
I suspect that he may have been acting for the company in a legal capacity assisting with regulatory matters with government and Vale etc for some time now and they are could be formalising the relationship now.
TP's comment in the West Australian newspaper recently said that "you need a good lawyer in Brazil and we have one". Seems that the comment was very true.
