morning mool,
my opinion is clearly different from some about management.
Management and team is the equal number one reason why I am in AJX -------- the very best idea in the world goes absolutely nowhere without a great team.
I think it is probably irrelevant whether I got in at 10 cents or in last week ------- my investments are 'always' judged on NOW --------- because it is from now that we head off into the future.
It is important to know from whence we came - but, the important thing in business and indeed all of life is -------------- what do we do NOW.
So - ATM - Purrs is telling me that we have green lights across the board - the ONLY stock on the ASX that it likes - for the sorts of returns I want.
Now - what that means to me is that when I look teamside -- I see quite a few people who I think are 'key' - all in all a great team - but, several 'key' people.
Although no one is indispensable (the cemetery is full of indispensable people) - there are several that would make me rethink if we lost them.
I will give only the example of 2 ------------- Nick is obvious - and Doctor Bob is obvious.
How would 2016 shape up if Nick decided to retire onto a Perth beach and drink Pina Coladas forever?
How would we like it if Dr Bob decided to head off to the Rockies and become a hermit for a decade or two?
I tell you - I would be having a major rethink.
Now -- lets concentrate on Dr Bob.
This is a bloke who Nick sits down with and says - Bob - we want to attack something - something new - we need a new product for a big market - and, I need it by March 2016 - if you can't give it to me by March 2016 - then, forget it and think of another blockbuster.
Bob decides on polymer.
Low and behold -------- do we get to the last week in Feburary and find Bob and team under intense time pressure and sweating out the last weeks doing 18 hours a day?
No --------------- we find he struts into Nicks office SIX MONTHS EARLY - plonks the product on the desk and says -------------ok, next!!!!
Lets get this right – what sits on the desk is a product that is highly likely to turn an entire industry on it’s head!
Now - think about this --------- do we think that major companies like Dow, Dupont and the like -------- aren't keeping an eye on this?
Do we think that AJX has just pinched ALL of the US military - and no one has noticed?
Or do we think that some exec's and boards aren't sitting back and saying 'who the hell is doing this and who is developing their products'?
Now -------- for me ----------- this bloke is gold on legs - Dr Bob is walking gold ------- just moving through life - with many watching ----------- and, I will bet London to a ton of bricks - some will be watching with not OUR (AJX) best interests at heart.
Ever heard of headhunters?
Now - if I were in charge of the shebang ------------ I would have Nick and Dr Bob and our key players firmly grasped in diamond studded gold handcuffs.
Firmly.
To me - if anyone thinks that these people are 'normal people' - well, - lets see how you would think if they left the organisation.
Yes, they are normal individuals and great people ------------- but, 'normal' as in the skills they have?
Not a snowball's chance in hell.
So, to me - if we climb on this train last week - and, we have climbed onto the train as it is hurtling through time - powerful, fast and looking to a very strong future ------- why would one start thinking that the conductor and the engineers are being overpaid when we are on the most powerful train on the rails?
If you think they are overpaid ---------------------- don't buy a ticket.
Me ---------- I want em happy, I want em to keep running the train, and I don't want any other rail company pinching my best staff.
On that note --------- I hope everyone had a great day yesterday - and has a great day today.

Agree with everything said!
If the big end of the chemical world is watching as hypothesised, why wouldn't they mount a takeover or approach the board at this early stage?
Especially given that we have military and NC has spoken about polymers and FR 50% of all materials that make up an aeroplane.
Even a raid on the market would get them a large position I reckon. Don't think Dow/Basf/DuPont/Koch etc would worry if the SP rose as they bought on market. These are extremely massive companies with very deep pockets.
I for one want someone to show their hand, whether they're a chemical company, hedge fund, super fund, papa smurf... whoever.
PS... Hello @tony79 Any contact with GR recently or plans to speak to him? Cheers.
