sc,
i'm not really sure you understand the gearing and interest related issues to options. why on earth would someone want to punt on adeo at around 3, with a call 1 yr out at 25 cents, when the ords are just 12 ? to be in the money the ords need to go to 28 or so. buying the right to one option might get you some interest earned on the diff to the ords of say 9 but at 7% that's not gonna be much over half a cent over the next yr. if you want a comparison then look at trf and trfo. buying the options on a reasonable day during the past yr and paying the call has actually been cheaper (without the interest element too). if one plans to hold to the call then imo this is the way to go. most options fail to make money. some do and do very well but finding them is tough. it's poss ade will make a good find in the cooper basin so then you'll maybe score but the odds are stacked against you. for every four opts buy one ord. as long as the company stays solvent the ride will last much longer.
just 40's thoughts. maybe change your nic to something else too, eh ha ha. you can still use the s and the c lol.
be good,
40.
