Optus shutting down Virgin Mobile JV, cutting 200 jobs and 36 retail stores

    After 18 years in the market Optus is drawing back from the Virgin Mobile JV with Virgin Mobile UK (holding ~75% in the Aussie JV), cutting 200 jobs and closing 36 stores:

    According to earlier reports, Virgin Mobile's market share fell from 5.4% to 4.4% during the 12 months to June 2017.
