Correct me if I am wrong but sources say the government is ensuring it is working with Optus via the ASD to remedy/manage the issue.

We do work for the ASD, no? Without knowing TNT's customers, I am rather confident Optus isn't one. On initial inspection it looks to be in partnership with Macquarie.
