    Just following on this is from a post I made on another thread (which is probably a long winded version of your 2):

    It might be an idea talking to a lawyer to see if any action can be taken to prevent ANZ selling "your" shares until you have had a chance to dispute their rights to do so.

    In fact I would suggest ANYONE who had shares through Opes should do the same thing, and it may be a good idea to send a letter or email to the persons who control the shares notfying them that you dispute their rights to sell those shares (and the grounds of your dispute) and that you will hold them (or those directing them) liable to restore the shares to you if there is a resolution in your favour. Not sure if this would be of any great benefit (not being a lawyer) but I can't see it doing any harm.
